Foundational RJ Training for Higher Education

Receive USD's transformative restorative justice training experience to gain a firm grasp of RJ principles and practices, develop facilitation skills, receive guidance about program implementation, and gain vital insight via this intense, thought-provoking, emotional, and spiritually-uplifting RJ program geared specifically for universities and higher education settings — this REMOTE, 6-week RJ training starts Wed. JAN 18th.

Open to administrators, faculty, students, and other staff interested in implementing RJ on their campuses for community building, campus climate concerns, resolving acute cases of harm, and student misconduct.

  • Philosophy and history of restorative circles & conferencing
  • How to use circles in response to campus climate issues
  • Facilitator skill-building via experiential learning and case study; effectiveness and strategies of implementation
  • Pre circle/conference preparation/assessment/referral
  • Post circle/conference follow-through on action plans

This training is delivered via Zoom over six (6) weeks, and includes asynchronous materials and exercises, as well as post-training support.
